CONNECTS WITH ROGUE ECHO BIKE...JUST WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR!!!
V.
This heart rate monitor boasts a thoughtful design at an exceptionally budget-friendly cost. While it doesn't provide the extensive running dynamics found in Garmin HRM monitors, it excels in heart rate tracking. It seamlessly synchronizes with Garmin Forerunner watches, offering a comfortable strap for wear. If your primary interest lies in heart rate data, I wholeheartedly recommend this as a compelling alternative to Garmin's monitors.

Pairing it with my Garmin Edge 830 was a breeze. There are no buttons; simply place it on and locate it under the "Heart rate monitors" section in settings. The pairing process was instantaneous, and it continuously displayed my heart rate throughout my recent bike ride. It's incredibly useful to monitor the zone I'm in during a ride, ensuring I don't overexert myself.

After both my Polar and Garmin devices stopped working, I opted for a more affordable product this time. What mattered to me was its compatibility with Zwift, Garmin (Edge), and Wahoo (Kickr). The PowrLabs was quickly detected each time and displayed accurate readings. There was also a brief guide in German included. I'm really pleased with it and now I'll be testing it more extensively :)

This works really well with my Horizon Treadmill T202 and Strava. It seems to be quite accurate up to this point. It's really comfortable to wear when I'm out for a run or on my bike. I'll have to wait and see how long it holds up.

I was able to connect to Bluetooth apps and widgets for streaming instantly, without any issues right out of the box.

This monitor offers great comfort and seamlessly integrates with numerous popular apps. It provides an accurate heart rate reading, and the price point is truly remarkable.

I bought this as a replacement for my old Garmin heart rate strap, which stopped working after a few years. Surprisingly, this one is only a third of the price of the Garmin version, but it actually seems to perform better. It connected to my devices immediately and has remained linked during all my rides. It's really comfortable to wear and provides accurate readings. I can't speak for how long it will last since I've only had it for a month, but considering I could buy three of these for the cost of one Garmin strap, I'm quite satisfied.

Pairing with my Garmin watch was a breeze. It's incredibly comfortable and accommodates my 50-inch chest with ease. The heart rate updates on my Garmin watch are just as speedy and precise as the wrist device used by my trainer from a well-known brand.

I've utilized this product consistently for a span of two weeks now, and I've encountered no problems with its IFIT functionality. It appears to provide precise readings, establishes connections effortlessly, and is comfortable when worn.
Initially, I considered getting an armband, but this alternative has proven to be an excellent choice.
I prefer to support businesses based in the USA rather than opting for Chinese imports when shopping online.
I wholeheartedly recommend this product. I'll provide an update if any concerns arise in the future.

I've owned three Polar Bluetooth monitors in the past, and I consistently encountered connectivity problems with my phone, regardless of the app I attempted to use. However, this particular model has performed admirably. Moreover, its accuracy stands out when compared to both my watch and the heart rate monitor at my gym.

Picked up this bad boy as a replacement for my old Garmin HRM that decided to call it quits. Snagged it during the Prime Day frenzy. I mean, hey, the price was right, and even if it turned out to be a dud, it's not like I'd be shedding tears over it. But guess what? It's actually been pretty cool so far. Saw a bunch of folks yapping about the strap being kinda cheap, but funny thing is, it's the exact same strap my old Garmin had. Plugged it in, and boom, my Garmin 820 was all synced up without any drama. Took it out for a few spins, and the data seems on point, you know? And for those folks who are having a beef with its accuracy, maybe give a shot at slapping some of that electrode gel on the pads. Who knows, might just do the trick. Cheers! ♂️

I conducted a side-by-side comparison of this product alongside an optical armband and a Garmin watch, and I found that the PowerLabs chest strap excelled in responsiveness to changes in heart rate during exercise. It consistently registered higher peaks during intense, brief efforts. For instance, when transitioning from a resting state to vigorous exercises like pull-ups and back to rest, the chest strap's readings reacted faster, reached higher peaks, and descended more swiftly compared to the optical sensors. In contrast, the optical sensors struggled to capture the true peak because my heart rate was already decreasing by the time they caught up. However, during steady activities like jogging or resting, all devices generally provided similar readings.
Initially, I was concerned about the comfort of the chest strap when I first put it on. However, I quickly acclimated to it, and it no longer bothers me. I found that running the contact area under water or dampening my chest where the strap rests ensures a solid connection, and I've encountered no issues with readings, even when running in the rain, indicating the monitor unit's waterproof capability.
The device effortlessly syncs with my watch and phone apps. I did experience a slight hiccup with the MapmyRun app initially, but it eventually connected, possibly after I briefly switched to another app and then returned to MapmyRun, where it immediately synced.
One notable feature is that my Garmin watch can automatically detect my lactate threshold when paired with this chest strap, a capability it lacks with its own optical sensor or an optical armband. Moreover, it detected my threshold with incredible accuracy, matching the result from the Joe Friel 30-minute test within a single heartbeat.
In summary, this product has been performing admirably, all while being a more affordable alternative to a Garmin chest strap. I will update this review if my experience changes. Enjoy your workouts!

I've been using this product during my runs for around a month and initially, it worked really well. However, I've encountered an issue where it disconnects after about 15 minutes in. Despite attempting to reconnect it, the product doesn't seem to respond to the pairing process anymore. I've taken the step of reaching out to the company in the hopes of finding a resolution to this problem.

The gadget easily connects to my iPhone using Bluetooth and syncs with the health app. Although the box mentions compatibility with Strava, it doesn't actually work with it. But it does work fine with the Polar Beat app. Since it connects directly to my iPhone, I don't have to bother with extra apps to share my data. I think it can also connect directly to Android devices. There's no visible light, but that's not an issue because my iPhone recognized it instantly and paired up without any problems.

Initially, there was some difficulty in pairing it with my iFit treadmill, but eventually, it connected successfully. It does appear to have ANT+ compatibility.
RK
Highly effective; precise; seamlessly integrates with third-party applications; the process of putting it on and taking it off can be a bit cumbersome due to the absence of a snap, but it's manageable; I would definitely recommend it.

It functions excellently, fits perfectly; why spend extra?

I purchased this as a replacement for my Wahoo TICKR, and it immediately synced with my Wahoo computer, performing quite well.

Yup it is working

The Powr Labs Bluetooth HRM has been somewhat inconsistent in accurately measuring my heart rate. During four separate runs, I encountered issues with cadence lock on two occasions. For those unfamiliar with cadence lock, it's when the HRM mistakenly registers your steps as your heart rate, leading to inaccurate readings. In one instance, the HRM initially displayed around 180bpm when I started running, despite my actual heart rate being closer to 110bpm.
Update: I've decided to retain my original review but have chosen to increase the rating. The reason for this adjustment is that the seller promptly refunded my order. It's possible that my particular unit had a hardware defect, as most other reviews indicate no such problems. If this chest strap HRM functions properly for you, it represents excellent value for money. I want to clarify that the seller did not request me to alter my review; I'm doing this out of good faith.
CHAD
I had a personalized order arranged via email, specifying my engraving preferences, and they promptly and precisely fulfilled it. Truly remarkable!

After using the product for approximately 3 weeks, I encountered connectivity issues. However, the seller's communication was excellent, being both helpful and friendly. To enhance the connection, it's advised to moisten the chest monitor using saline solution, a small amount of water, or even a tiny bit of saliva.
Oscar Eduardo Gracia
Highly recommended, it's compatible with Garmin sensors and worked flawlessly.
Mark
I've used this monitor only once, and I'm quite pleased with its connectivity and accuracy. I decided to purchase a chest monitor because my Apple watch frequently failed to record my heart rate accurately during workouts. It would either show extremely high readings, like 180+, or drop to as low as 115 in a matter of seconds.
Here are a few key points about my experience with this monitor:
It's incredibly user-friendly. The Powr Labs website provides clear and concise instructional videos and written guides for pairing and wearing the monitor.
The monitor seamlessly pairs with my Apple Watch via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for third-party apps.
I verified the accuracy of the BPM readings by comparing them to the treadmill monitor.
If this monitor maintains its accuracy and ease of use (just remove the electrodes and rinse the strap after use), I have a strong feeling that it will be one of my best health-related purchases of 2023.
Colleen L. Edmonson
While I encountered some difficulty pairing this device with Strava (possibly due to user error), I had no trouble connecting it to the Map My Run app. I've been utilizing it for heart rate training during my runs, and I'm genuinely satisfied with my purchase. My rib cage is relatively small, so I had to make a minor adjustment to the strap to prevent it from slipping down. Thankfully, this adjustment was effortless, and I'm quite pleased with the results.
Travis Davis
I purchased these to complement my COROS watch, and they paired effortlessly. The heart rate monitoring is accurate, aiding me in maintaining my target zones during runs. It's so comfortable that I hardly notice it's there, and it doesn't slip or feel restrictive. I've previously owned a more expensive Polar device that was less comfortable.
Hawk R.
This Heart Rate Monitor was an excellent match for both my Garmin Vivoactive 4 and Garmin Venu 2. I encountered only minor challenges, which seem to be related to the fit and tightness of the strap rather than the unit itself.
Given my experience with wrist-based optical heart rate trackers struggling to accurately read my heart rate during intense workouts (although they work well for most individuals), I required a solution that could provide precise measurements. This Heart Rate Monitor delivers exactly what I require, without unnecessary features, and it comes at a much more reasonable price compared to pricier chest-strap HRMs.
The monitor effortlessly connects via Bluetooth Low Energy or ANT+, making it compatible with a wide range of devices. Remarkably, it functions independently without requiring an app (although there are several available that can interact with and gather data from the HRM). It operates by transmitting data to a paired device rather than storing it internally.
This feature doesn't pose any problem for me, as my sole intention is to connect it to my Garmin watch, thereby capturing more reliable heart rate data to effectively regulate my pace while engaging in inline skating.
While my ownership duration has yet to surpass a year, the battery replacement has not been necessary so far.

Update: The company actually got in touch with me directly and went the extra mile. They sent over a fresh HRM unit. Gotta say, their customer service is seriously top-notch.
So, like I mentioned before, the monitor did its thing perfectly as promised for a good while. But then, around 6 months in, it decided to call it quits on me. I even gave it a new battery, but no luck – totally unresponsive. Pretty disappointing, gotta admit. I guess it's one of those situations where you realize you get what you pay for. Maybe it's worth considering dishing out a bit more for a higher-end option that won't bail on you so soon. All said though, kudos to PowerLabs for making things right. I'd definitely consider shopping with them again based on this customer service win. Got this back in November 2022, by the way.

It's simple to pair this with my Garmin Watch, and when I compared it to the built-in wrist monitor, I found that it's more precise.

After my Wahoo monitor stopped functioning after 4 years, I was hesitant to invest in the pricier new version. Decided to give the Powr Labs monitor band a shot due to its more affordable price point. Although I successfully connected it to my Wahoo app and it appeared functional, I encountered consistent Bluetooth disconnections even at very short distances. Despite placing my phone nearly right next to me, the connectivity was never stable. Regrettably, it proved ineffective for tracking my activities. It's clear that I received exactly what I paid for; I'll be returning to the Wahoo heart monitor without a doubt.

The chest piece wouldn't activate or connect to my cell phone initially. Even when I tried wetting the connection part with water, the light still wouldn't come on, and there was no signal from the chest piece. Eventually, I managed to get it connected, but I had to delete the device and reinstall it after turning off my phone for a while beforehand.
Benigno Nuñez
Extremely comfortable, I will continue to highly recommend it.
The Athlete
It performs comparably to any heart rate strap I've utilized. I consistently moisten the electrodes slightly during application, and then it's ready for action. I've been using it for approximately six months, and thus far, it has delivered consistently positive results.

Great product! It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I gave it a lower rating because the initial app didn't function properly.

As of August 2, 2023, I can confirm that they have upheld their promise. I received a replacement battery as per their advertised offer.
Having previously used Garmin and Polar strap HRMs, I must say that PowrLabs' HRM impresses me, especially considering its significantly lower cost. Additionally, I wear a Samsung Galaxy 4 Smartwatch, and as evidenced by the attached picture, both heart rate measurements align perfectly. I enthusiastically endorse this product!
Mrs4KidsMom
I recently received my order, and I'm delighted to report that it seamlessly and effortlessly paired with my Sole F85 treadmill (2023). To ensure accuracy, I tested it alongside another heart rate monitor I trust, and the readings from both were remarkably consistent. This heart rate monitor fulfills its primary purpose of syncing flawlessly with my treadmill, making it an excellent choice. Given its affordability and performance, I plan to purchase another one for my wife to avoid any sharing inconveniences!
MurrayR
Encountered some difficulties while attempting to establish a connection initially. Upon reading the documentation, I discovered the recommendation to warm the device and place it close to the heart, which aids in waking it up. The strap attachment using the flat hook is slightly uncomfortable, though not overly so. Considering the cost, it appears to be a reasonable purchase. I will monitor its longevity over time. Additionally, they mentioned a complimentary battery replacement service.
LanerAA
It stopped working after just 4 months, but during that time, it performed really well. I'm giving it 3 stars because the company was honest and gave me a full refund. They're a trustworthy company.
Jonathan McMurry
I utilized both the Peloton and DDP yoga app in conjunction with this monitor. Initially, the monitor functioned adequately, though it now exhibits inaccuracies in tracking my heart rate. It consistently provides lower readings, such as indicating a heart rate in the 80s when my actual rate is 130, as verified by my Fitbit (which is not synced with Peloton). Even after installing a new battery, there is no improvement.
As of [04/22/23], a representative from the company took notice of this review, reached out to me, expressed their regret, and presented the option of a refund or a replacement unit. I truly appreciate the company's commitment to standing by their products. My gratitude goes to PowrLabs for rectifying the situation. It's possible I received a faulty unit, but I'm immensely pleased that they've taken the necessary steps to resolve the issue and ensure my satisfaction.

So far, it's working perfectly fine.

It's exactly as they advertised. The strap looks really nice and the quality is amazing.

I recently acquired a heart rate monitor chest strap to complement my Garmin fitness tracker, and I'm exceptionally satisfied with its performance. This chest strap has proven to be a valuable enhancement to my fitness regimen, enabling me to precisely monitor my heart rate during exercise sessions.
Setting up and using the chest strap with my Garmin device was a breeze, and it has consistently delivered flawless performance since I began using it. Its comfortable and secure fit ensures I never need to worry about it slipping or shifting during my workouts.
What truly stands out to me about this chest strap is its remarkable accuracy. It provides real-time heart rate data that I can utilize to optimize my exercise routines and track my progress over time. The insights it offers have been instrumental in my journey to enhance my fitness levels and achieve my fitness goals.

I've experimented with several heart rate monitors and had negative encounters with Polar. As a result, I opted for a monitor with positive reviews, and it hasn't let me down. I hope it lasts me a couple of years, and I'll provide more feedback later.
Francisco Grefa
I've tested a bunch of heart rate monitors and had some bad experiences with Polar. So, I went with a monitor that had good reviews, and it hasn't let me down. Hopefully, it'll last me a couple of years. I'll update my thoughts later on.
Mario Allard
It's really convenient; it easily connects with my Garmin and iPhone apps.

I really appreciate what this product does. I've been using it with my Garmin Forerunner 955 almost every day for about 6-8 months now. It's dependable and consistently connects to my watch swiftly. My only gripe is about the claim of a free battery replacement within the first year, which, in my experience, isn't true. I replaced my battery over a month ago, followed their instructions, and I'm still waiting for the promised battery replacement. It's not a huge deal, but it would be better if they didn't make this offer if they can't fulfill it.
Charles
Exceptional customer support - my heart rate monitor ceased functioning, yet they promptly dispatched a replacement, even beyond the designated return period.

I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now, and I'm really pleased with it. The ANT+ and Bluetooth functions work perfectly.

I purchased this to use with my Zwift indoor smart cycling trainer. It was super easy to connect since it was recognized right away, and I didn't need to mess with any settings. I've been using it for around a month now and I'm really enjoying it.
Peter Cheung
The product does exactly what I was anticipating. However, it can be a little tricky to get a reading initially. You need to moisten your skin and the back of the device to ensure it reads correctly. Once you start sweating, there are no more problems.
Pollyanna Chavez
After struggling for several weeks to update the firmware on my new Wahoo Ticker, I eventually decided to give up and buy this product. It seamlessly connected to my Wahoo Elemnt in just 10 seconds and performed flawlessly.
coach
It works really well. I personally think it's better than Polar.
Dc Van der Walt
It requires some time to "warm up" and give consistent readings. Just make sure the waistband is damp, as that seems to improve the accuracy.
Imali
I purchased this heart rate monitor after my trusty Polar H10 stopped working after five years of use. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it connects to my Garmin watch and its overall accuracy. However, my only complaint is about the strap. It doesn't compare to the quality of the Polar strap. The material feels cheap and thin, and it fastens with a hook fixture instead of a clasp. Because of this, it tends to slip since it lacks non-slip features. But considering the price, I can't really complain. I would have gladly paid a bit more for a better quality strap. Nevertheless, this minor issue shouldn't discourage you from trying it out!
Anonymous customer
It worked perfectly for three months and then suddenly stopped working. I used it regularly for activities like running, biking, and cross-country skiing, typically 2-3 times a week. Before it stopped working, it performed excellently and synced seamlessly with my Suunto Baro 9. However, after it stopped working, I tried several troubleshooting steps: 1) I replaced the battery, but it didn't help; 2) I swapped the HRM straps, but still no luck; 3) I confirmed the voltage on both the unit and the strap with a multimeter; 4) I even tried forgetting the HRM on my Bluetooth watch, but it wouldn't connect to any device, including my phone.
Thankfully, after I left a negative review, the company promptly reached out and offered to replace the unit under warranty. Their communication was quick and efficient, and they informed me that the replacement HRM should arrive this week. So far, my experience with Powerlabs has been positive. I gave it a 4 out of 5 rating because I'm still a bit skeptical about its long-term durability. I'm hopeful that the replacement unit will last longer because the original one worked great before it broke. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Jacob A. Crabill
Lasted for about 2 years before exhibiting signs of deterioration. Now, after consistent utilization spanning 2.5 years, its dependability has significantly diminished. It erroneously indicates a heart rate of 80bpm during intense exertion, only to later register 190bpm while at rest. Despite these issues, I'm inclined to repurchase it due to its favorable balance between cost and lifespan, which appears superior to alternative heart rate straps.
belinda
I used the product during a single run and then washed the strap. Unfortunately, the plastic buckle that secures the strap came off in the wash and got lost. It's disappointing that the band didn't hold up through just one wash. However, there's some good news: the company provided excellent customer service by not only refunding my purchase but also sending me a replacement band. That's truly exceptional customer support!
David Row
Difficult to utilize with a phone, doesn't work well with a treadmill, and quite a hassle to wear. Using chest bands as a heart rate monitoring solution isn't suitable for my needs.
Holly
Picking up heart rate was simple, and it synced perfectly with my Garmin Edge.
W. Shang
Sometimes I had to restart my Tacx and TrainerRoad to get them to connect properly.
Cruz Reyna
So, I hooked it up straight to my Strava app on my Android phone, and I gotta say, it seems pretty darn accurate.
Dave H.
Not sure why, but frequently I find myself needing to manually connect it to my bicycle. Other than that, it appears to function effectively.

I had ceased writing reviews for quite some time ago, but I've developed a genuine appreciation for this particular device, prompting me to make an exception. Two significant factors influenced my decision: firstly, it's produced by a US-based company, and I'm keen to show my support for domestic businesses. Secondly, it comes at a considerably lower cost compared to well-known brand-name devices offering similar functionality. The device arrived promptly, which was a pleasant surprise.
My purpose for acquiring this device was to use it alongside my new Zwift Hub smart bicycle trainer in my basement. I aimed to monitor my heart rate during indoor rides. The device's concise and easily comprehensible instructions made setup a breeze. After adjusting the band for a comfortable fit, I put it on. When I launched the Zwift app on my laptop, the heart rate monitor instantly appeared as an available device. It paired seamlessly, requiring only about 30 seconds of setup time, and I was able to engage in my desired activities.
I can't comment on the battery's longevity yet, as I've used it daily for sessions ranging from 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes each time, and it hasn't encountered a single issue. Furthermore, they offer to send fresh batteries if the ones provided wear out within the first 12 months. This feature ensures peace of mind regarding the HR monitor's continued performance.
Thus far, I'm genuinely impressed. It appears to deliver accurate readings, and I encountered no difficulties during setup or subsequent usage, with my systems consistently recognizing the device without fail. If you're in search of a dependable and precise heart rate monitor, you would be hard-pressed to find a better choice than this one.
Dave Harris
The HRM functions excellently, seamlessly connecting with my iPhone, Garmin Edge 520, and Garmin Edge 1030 without any issues. To my pleasant surprise, it also provides precise r-r intervals, making it compatible with the EliteHRV app, a feature I'm particularly pleased with. In fact, I was so impressed that I purchased one for my girlfriend, who is a 105 lb athlete. Unfortunately, the strap turned out to be too large for her, necessitating a return.
Anonymous customer
I was initially really pleased with my purchase, and it performed excellently for around a year and a half. However, nowadays it only functions every now and then. Even after replacing the battery, I'm still dealing with the same issue. I was hoping for a longer lifespan from this product.

I use this while rowing on a Concept 2 Indoor Rower using the PM5.

No biggie... just gotta link it up every time. Just plop down on your seat, hit that connect button for the heart thingy, give it a couple of seconds to figure things out, and then give it the thumbs up.

I've utilized this band for cycling over the course of 1.5 years. I've also owned a similar one from a different brand. To my delight, I've encountered no issues whatsoever, and there are no visible signs of wear and tear. The quality is exceptionally good. A helpful tip: I recommend hand-washing it and hanging it up after each use.
FRidd
I'm encountering difficulties in establishing a consistent connection between the device and my phone, as well as the Strava app, during my cycling sessions. Although it initially connects and begins tracking at the beginning of each ride, the signal is lost consistently after approximately 15 minutes. A stronger Bluetooth signal is required for the item to reliably maintain its connection with the devices throughout the entire journey.
Kevinp
Appeared to be an excellent heart rate monitor. It provided a comfortable fit and established a seamless connection with both my NordicTrack treadmill and Echelon Row-S. The accuracy was commendable as well. Initially functioning perfectly for three weeks, it later encountered connectivity issues. After replacing the battery, it successfully connected for the following three days. I doubted the new battery could be drained so quickly. However, upon removing and reinserting the battery, the heart rate monitor successfully reconnected to the treadmill. Unfortunately, this repetitive process became impractical, especially after receiving no response from the seller. Consequently, I had to initiate a return.
Dirk Coetzee
It works nicely and is made well. It even has dual connections for winter usage.
Brad
I own both a Garmin and a Hammerhead heart rate monitor. The Hammerhead strap tends to cause discomfort due to its scratchy texture, while my Garmin strap is showing signs of wear and tear after several years of use. In contrast, this strap offers superior comfort compared to both of the others. It easily accommodates both my Hammerhead and Garmin heart rate monitors, seamlessly snapping into place. Additionally, the affordability of this strap is truly remarkable!
David Dietrich
I was in need of a replacement for the HRM that originally came with my Garmin bike computer. I stumbled upon this one and was encouraged by the positive reviews and reasonable price. So far, my experience with it has been great. While the HRM's function isn't overly complex, it's performing its job effectively, and what's even better is that it comes at a much lower cost compared to other replacement options available. Interestingly, I find its design more appealing than the original Garmin one, although I'm probably the only one who really notices it since it's hidden beneath my jersey. Still, I appreciate how sleek it looks. I would definitely consider purchasing this HRM again, although I'm hoping I won't need to do so anytime soon.
Dimitrios SavvopoulosDimitrios Savvopoulos
Whether you're watching your wallet or not, this chest strap will definitely impress you with its great accuracy. Thumbs up!

The electrical leads may appear somewhat delicate, but this monitor has proven its compatibility with my Garmin device and its accuracy by aligning with multiple manual pulse readings (radial pulse). To utilize the monitor, you'll need to install the 'myWorkouts' app on your phone and sync it with your fitness tracker, which is a relatively straightforward process: Secure the strap to your chest, then, if you own a Venu Sq like I do, press the lower button, access the 'gear icon,' and scroll to 'Sensors.' It's worth noting that if you're not already warmed up and sweating, you should moisten the electrical leads with water for a proper connection. The syncing process should happen automatically.
However, please be aware that this chest strap is not compatible with Fitbit devices. Additionally, my monitor lacks a flashing light, and I'm unsure whether they've discontinued this feature or if I might be overlooking something. Nevertheless, the strap fulfills its intended purpose. During my cardio workouts, my target heart rate range falls between 175 and 180, and this monitor consistently reflects this range on my phone. This is a significant improvement compared to the 115 range I used to get from my wrist-based Garmin and Fitbit without the strap, which was far from ideal.
For those who prefer to broadcast their heart rate continuously during a workout, you can achieve this by accessing the gear symbol, selecting 'Wrist Heart Rate,' and then tapping 'Broadcast.' Keep in mind that this feature consumes more battery power, but it eliminates the need to press a button on your watch each time you check your heart rate. Apologies for any potential typos, as I didn't have the opportunity to proofread. Nevertheless, I wish you productive training sessions, and I hope this information proves beneficial!

I purchased the Power Labs HR monitor as a replacement for my old one, which had started to behave erratically after years of use. I had experimented with more expensive alternatives that ultimately proved disappointing and failed within months. Therefore, I began my search for a more budget-friendly option. Priced at just $35, the Power Labs unit caught my eye. I've used it for a few rides, each lasting 3 to 4 hours, and it has performed admirably. Its accuracy has impressed me, particularly when compared to my previous experiences with heart rate monitors on the same routes.
Regarding battery life, I can't provide a definitive assessment as I've only owned it for a week. Typically, my heart rate monitor batteries last a couple of months, with approximately 15 hours of riding per week. I've paired it with a Garmin head unit and haven't ventured into using the Power Labs app. However, I can confirm that it functions seamlessly with Garmin devices, Garmin Connect, and Strava.

This affordable heart rate monitor offers fantastic value, seamlessly syncing with a complimentary app. Remarkably, it effortlessly connects to my Nordic Trak T 6.5 S treadmill via Bluetooth. It's compatible with various apps, including 'Heart Rate Graph,' yet you can effortlessly monitor and record your heart rate for free with this one. Just a heads up, it doesn't integrate with Apple Health unless you have an Apple Watch. Unlike pricier alternatives that demand additional gear, this monitor is a plug-and-play solution that pairs flawlessly with the free app.

I've been rocking this thing for about 2 years alongside my Peloton and sometimes on another app on my phone, and man, it's been absolutely awesome. The battery just keeps on going for over 50 hours without breaking a sweat (right now, it's at 50% battery, and I'm guesstimating based on how much time I've spent on the bike since the last recharge).

I wanted to see how much my heart would race when I tackled those steep hills while pedaling. I thought I might burst from the intensity, but that wasn't the case at all. Turns out, I just need to pedal more regularly.

I've employed this chest strap for tracking my heart rate during two mountain biking outings, and it has performed admirably. It seamlessly linked up with both my Garmin Edge bike computer and my Garmin Instinct watch, offering performance comparable to Garmin's own straps but at a considerably more affordable price point. Its durability remains to be seen over time, but it seems to be a high-quality product. I would certainly recommend it.
Butchy Brannan
I've been using this with my Garmin Edge 520 and Zwift, and it's been pretty user-friendly so far. I can't comment on the battery life just yet.

It does what it claims, and it works fine with Strava. Just be patient when syncing, and make sure it's damp on your chest area.
David Simon
This product offers great bang for your buck, it's really comfortable, and it seems to be quite accurate. I can't say for sure how long the battery will hold up, but I've been pleased with its performance up to now!
RONALD J SAYER
The heart rate monitor stopped working in under two months. I attempted to change the battery, but it remained completely unresponsive. However, the manufacturer provided a refund, which was a nice gesture.

I recently purchased this HRM, and it seamlessly syncs with my iPhone 11 Pro via Bluetooth, providing a flawless connection to Strava. Despite some previous reports suggesting compatibility issues, I believe Strava has addressed these concerns with a recent update. As of August 2022, it functions exceptionally well.<br><br>One important note is that you must grant Strava access to your device's Bluetooth. To do this, simply navigate to Settings->Privacy->Bluetooth and ensure that the slider next to Strava is set to the 'on' position (green).

After using the monitor for a little over a year, it's not functioning correctly anymore. I've attempted to replace the batteries several times, but it consistently gives me a significantly lower heart rate reading.

I used this for about a week before realizing that it can communicate with my watch, but only if Bluetooth is turned on. Additionally, you can view the graph on an iPhone, but that also requires Bluetooth to be enabled. The instructions don't provide clear steps, probably because there are so many devices and setups involved, making it a bit confusing to figure out.

I purchased this product as a replacement for my second malfunctioning Garmin HRM Dual. The Garmin HRM Dual performed well until I had to change the battery, after which both devices started to have issues and eventually failed before the second battery's life was over. Frustrated with this, I decided to give the PowrLabs HRM a try. It works decently, connecting smoothly via both Ant+ and Bluetooth.
However, I've noticed that during longer workout sessions when I'm sweating more than usual, I experience occasional drops in heart rate readings for a few seconds, ranging from 3 to 20 seconds at a time. During a recent 2-hour run in hot and humid conditions, I encountered 10 brief drops in heart rate data. For me, heart rate isn't my primary metric for training, so these drops aren't a deal-breaker. However, if you rely heavily on heart rate data for your training, I would recommend considering a different HRM.
One notable advantage of the PowrLabs HRM unit is its compatibility with the standard Garmin HRM strap. This means I can rotate between three straps before needing to wash them, which is convenient.

I was really happy with how effective this product turned out to be. It connected effortlessly with my coros pace 2 watch, and I've had no issues getting it to pair with my spin bike computer either. The heart rate monitoring appears to be really accurate, which has made a significant difference in my heart rate training. The price is good, and the product itself is great. I would definitely suggest it to anyone. It's been a year, and I'm still using it every day.

This heart rate monitor offers excellent quality at an affordable price point. Having used various Polar monitors previously, I can attest that this one boasts a nearly identical design. However, it comes with a significantly lower price tag while performing just as effectively. I've been using it for a duration of two months, utilizing it twice a week. What sets it apart is the simplicity of its strap connector, essentially a straightforward metal "hook." This feature lays incredibly flat and doesn't intrude during use.
Typically, heart rate monitor chest straps tend to wear out after a few years, which is why I prefer not to overspend on them.
Update May 2023: This heart rate monitor continues to perform admirably. I've compared its readings against a finger monitor, and they consistently match. I've been diligent about cleaning the strap with soap and water after each use, and it appears to be holding up well

I've been using this product for around a month, and it's been working really well with my Concept 2 rower. When you're on the Concept 2 PM5 monitor, you just go to Menu, then select Connect, and after that, you choose Connect to HR monitor. You'll see the option for Powr Labs, and once you select that, it loads up without any issues. It's pretty convenient.

I was experiencing some issues with my Polar heart rate strap, so I decided to purchase this one temporarily while my Polar strap was being repaired. I must say, it works really well! The only minor inconvenience was that I had to disconnect and reconnect it to the app I use every day, but that might be more of an app problem than a problem with the device itself. Nonetheless, I'm really pleased with its performance and would definitely recommend it. It offers great value for its affordable price!

I initially used my Apple Watch to monitor my workouts but consistently felt disheartened due to the consistently low calorie burn readings after intense sessions. Realizing that Apple Watches aren't very dependable in calorie counting, I decided to seek a more accurate alternative and opted for a chest strap. I must say, I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance thus far. It consistently registers over 100 more calories burned compared to my Apple Watch.
Using it is a breeze, and there's a variety of apps to choose from, catering to different training regimens. The instructional guide categorizes these apps, making it easy to select the one that suits your needs. Personally, I settled on the Heart Graph app. While the basic version primarily displays heart rate, I opted for the premium version, which includes calorie tracking and heart rate zones – a choice I don't regret.
Pairing it with my phone was seamless, and it integrated effortlessly with the app I selected. From start to finish, including app selection, download, and setup, I was ready to use it within just 10 minutes. During my first workout with it, I barely noticed it was there – it stayed securely in place without any issues.
In summary, I can confidently recommend this chest strap for anyone looking to track their workouts more accurately, especially if you've been relying on an Apple Watch and want a more dependable alternative.

I suffer from tachycardia, and I was encountering issues with the Garmin Instinct watch I use, particularly when it came to obtaining accurate heart rate readings while standing. While it functioned well when I was in a prone or seated position, it struggled to register my heart rate when I stood, likely due to my low blood pressure and somewhat weak pulse in that posture. Consequently, I decided to acquire the PowrLabs chest strap monitor, which operates by detecting electrical signals rather than physical pulses.
Initially, I effortlessly paired it with my watch, and it promptly displayed my heart rate. However, I encountered a problem as it would disconnect within 5 seconds. After some investigation, I realized that the issue lay with my Garmin watch. It seems that the Garmin watch is configured to exclusively use an external heart rate monitor during exercise. To address this, I had to set the watch to treadmill mode (in order to conserve battery by deactivating GPS while in walking mode), which allowed it to consistently connect and provide continuous readings from the chest strap throughout the day.
I've been relying on the chest strap for approximately a month now, and it has performed exceptionally well. I would certainly recommend it to others facing similar heart rate monitoring challenges.

The tracking is quite accurate, and it syncs nicely with my Garmin headunit (I have the edge explore model). However, I've noticed that the strap is starting to stretch a bit already, and it tends to slide down a little during my rides.

It works okay. It's not as comfortable as the newer style straps that don't have the big piece in the middle. However, I got this because I wanted a cheap Bluetooth strap for my treadmill, and it gets the job done. It's a good deal for the price.

I had a bit of trouble understanding how to make it function, but I managed to get it up and running on the Heart Graph app. I've been using it for a while, and things are looking good up to this point.

I always stick to this brand; there's really nothing else like it. It seems to me that the price is a bit steep for what it offers. I'm not sure if I can actually hit a heart rate of 170 or more, despite what my smartwatches claim. Maybe I'm mistaken, but this could provide valuable data for monitoring how your heart rate changes over time.
