Reviews
I know there was some question about whether this would work with an older Wahoo Tickr or not. My Tickr was bought at least four years ago, and has the recessed snaps (see pics). The Tickr snapped right into this strap with no problem and the bluetooth light started blinking as soon as I connected both sensor pads together on the belt. So, now you know. I hope this helps as some of you try to figure this out.
I bought this because the HR strap for my Garmin was falling apart. Didn't want to buy a new one because the module was still working. This works great with this strap. This is the one I have (see photos). This is the older model. I don't know if the newer Garmin has the same connection points.
I lost my original strap for my Garmin HRM-Dual and didn't want to spend $35 on a Garmin branded unit, so I took an gamble and bought this before there were any reviews.So far it works just like the original did. It was comfortable enough on a 90 minute mountain bike ride. I've only used it once, but I will update this review if my opinion on it changes.Update 7/24/20:Still using the band and it is working fine. I've probably put 200 miles on my bike with it so far. It's comfortable and is holding up well. Probably has held up better than the original Garmin band.Unfortunately, it looks like the manufacturer almost doubled the price since I purchased it. Can't say I would pick it over other brands at this price point. Reduced my stars from 5 to 4 due to the drastic increase in cost.Update 3/5/2021:Bumping this back up to 5 stars. This band is better than the original Garmin unit that came with my HRM. There are no signs of stretching or loss of elasticity since I have purchased the HRM band.I've worn it for over 1000miles of bike riding. The HR strap that came with my Wahoo eventually fell apart. This replacement strap was exactly what I needed and fit this version of the Wahoo perfectly. I actually like this strap better than the original. Great replacement!
Although the item didn't come in the black and green box (it came in a plastic bag rather), it fits my 10 years old Garmin HRM sensor and works well so far.
I like the price & it does work. But the snaps don't seem to hold my wahoo hr sensor as tightly as my OEM wahoo strap did. I imagine if I were to bump it somehow during a ride it could pop off. Though it has stayed put during the 2 indoor trainer rides I've done this far. My OEM strap really snapped down securely & inspired confidence. The connection with this one just feels looser (less confidence inspiring) than it should be in my honest opinion. But again it does work & I'll keep using it, unless it decides to make a habit of popping off in the future. - Update - still working well & my fears of it un-snapping its self while riding have not happened. It has stayed put until I wanted it to come off after my rides. Updating to 4 stars.☆☆☆☆
Works at least with those two models. Better than the original on dry skin (less problems pairing at the start of the workout). Good quality!
The bottom line is that this is an excellent replacement. It actually fit better than the original strap that came with the HRM. It also fits my old Garmin snugly also, yeah when Garmin was not about all proprietary throw-away business model. For the price of less than $15, I think it is a good deal to extend the lifespan of the HRM devices.My massive canine friend (weighs 10 and a half pounds and stands 9 and a quarter inches tall) is a strength testing machine. One day he decided to test his dental crushing and shearing strength on my Powerlabs HRM. Luckily, his huge 5-mm long teeth did not damage the monitor itself, but ensured that the strap lay astray in morbid pieces as the electrode innards were exposed.I searched on amazon using "HRM band replacement" and it gave results for other generic bands. Just when I was going to pull the trigger on one of them, "More items to explore" showed this band, which was cheaper. Sometime I wonder if the Search AI really thinks and recommends the right thing, based on our "purchase history", but I digress.I would definitely purchase it again and ensure to keep it away from the gigantic strength testing machine I have inherited.

Sensors with deep, recessed snap connectors: Polar H9 and H10, Myzone, Peloton, Garmin HRM-Tri and the Wahoo Tickr 3rd generation (2020). Those need the brand's own strap.

Yes. Unsnap the sensor and hand or machine wash the strap cold, then air dry. Rinsing after sweaty sessions keeps the electrodes conductive and the strap from smelling.
Wet the two electrode pads on the inside of the strap before putting it on and wear it snug just under the chest muscles. Dry electrodes or a loose fit are the usual cause on any chest strap.
