Armband HRM Help & Support

Armband HRM Support

Let's get your Armband HRM connected.

No tech skills needed. Follow the simple steps below and you'll be tracking your heart rate in just a few minutes.

Start Pairing → It Won't Connect
The one rule that fixes most problems: Put the armband on before you try to connect. There's no power button. The monitor only turns on when it's on your arm. If it's sitting on a table, your phone can't find it.

First-Time Setup

Connect in 6 simple steps

Do these in order. Take your time, there's no rush.

  1. Charge it & remove the sticker

Fully charge the armband before first use. Then remove the protective sticker from the heart rate sensor on the back of the unit. The sensor can't read through it.

  2. Put the armband on

Wear it on your forearm near the elbow or on your upper arm, with the sensor pressed against the skin and away from muscle bulges. Snug enough that it doesn't move, but not so tight it restricts circulation. It turns on by itself.

  3. Keep your arm still

Hold your arm still for about 10–15 seconds so the sensor can lock onto your heart rate. Put it on before you start exercising, not mid-workout.

  4. Clear any old connection

Open your phone's Settings → Bluetooth. If you see the heart monitor listed, tap it and choose "Forget This Device." This is the #1 cause of connection trouble.

  5. Open your fitness app

Open the app you want to use (Strava, Polar Beat, Zwift, etc.). Find its "heart rate" or "sensor" screen and let it search. Connect from inside the app, not from the phone's main Bluetooth menu. Closing other apps that use Bluetooth helps.

  6. Watch for the green light

While searching, the light flashes blue. Once connected, it flashes green once every minute. That means you're connected and ready to go!

One app at a time. Over Bluetooth, the armband can only talk to one app or device at once. If your phone grabbed it, your watch or app won't connect until you "Forget" it on the phone first.

The Indicator Light

What the light is telling you

The small LED on the front of the armband is your status signal. Here's what each pattern means.

Blue flashing

Searching for a connection. Open your app's sensor screen and select the armband.

Green flash once a minute

You're connected! Nothing more to do. Start training.

Green for 2 seconds at startup

Battery is full.

Red & green flashing alternately

Battery is low (under 10%). Charge it before your workout.

Solid red while charging

Charging. Turns solid green when fully charged.

No light at all

The armband isn't on. Put it on your arm with the sensor touching skin. Still nothing? Charge it.

Troubleshooting & common fixes

It won't connect / my app can't find it

This is almost always your phone holding onto the connection. Do this:

  1. Put the armband on. It only turns on when worn. Keep your arm still for 10–15 seconds.
  2. Go to Settings → Bluetooth and tap "Forget" if the monitor is listed.
  3. Fully close your fitness app and any other apps using Bluetooth, then reopen your app.
  4. Connect from the app's heart rate / sensor screen, not the phone's Bluetooth menu.
  5. Make sure the armband is charged. Low battery can stop it from being found.
  6. Still stuck? If your device supports ANT+, try connecting that way.
The heart rate looks wrong or jumps around
  • Check the position. Forearm near the elbow or upper arm, sensor flat against skin, away from muscle bulges.
  • Clean the sensor window. Wipe the sensor on the back with a soft cloth to remove sweat, skin oil or makeup.
  • Wipe off sweat. Heavy sweat can form a film between the sensor and skin. Take it off, wipe it, and put it back on.
  • Give it a moment. Keep still for 10–15 seconds after putting it on before you start.
  • Check your skin. Dark tattoos, dense hair or very dry skin can weaken the signal. Try your other arm.
It drops out during intense workouts

Fast arm movement (burpees, battle ropes, boxing) can make the sensor lose contact with your skin.

  • Tighten the armband slightly.
  • Move it up to your upper arm, where there's less movement.
It connects to my phone but not my watch

Over Bluetooth the armband connects to one thing at a time, and your phone has claimed it.

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Find the monitor and tap "Forget".
  3. From now on, connect from your watch or app's sensor menu instead.
It turned itself off

That's normal. The armband shuts down automatically when it can't detect a heart rate for 90 seconds, for example when you take it off or the sensor slips away from your skin. Put it back on and it turns on again.

It vibrated during my workout

That's the built-in heart rate alert. The armband vibrates when your heart rate goes above 160 bpm to let you know you're entering a higher heart rate zone.

It won't charge or won't turn on
  • Make sure the charging port on the bottom of the unit is completely dry.
  • Check the magnetic cable is snapped onto the charging terminal. A solid red light means it's charging.
  • Try a different USB wall adapter or laptop port.
  • Still no light after a full charge? Contact us and we'll help.

Bluetooth and ANT+ both run at the same time, so you can use a Bluetooth app and an ANT+ device together. Most phone apps use Bluetooth; Garmin and Wahoo gear often prefer ANT+.

Power

Charging

Rechargeable battery

No coin batteries needed. A full charge lasts about 70 hours of use.

Signs it's low

Red and green lights flashing alternately when you put it on, dropped connections, or the armband not showing up in your app.

Storing it?

If you won't use it for a while, recharge it every 3 months to protect the battery.

How to charge

  1. Make sure the charging port on the bottom of the unit is completely dry.

  2. Snap the magnetic charging cable onto the charging terminal.

  3. Plug the USB end into a laptop or wall adapter (not included).

  4. The light stays red while charging and turns green when fully charged.

Keep It Working

Caring for your armband

After every use

Rinse the armband strap with clean water and let it air dry completely. Sweat left to build up can damage the sensor window over time.

Keep the sensor clean

Gently wipe the sensor window on the back with a soft cloth to remove sweat, skin oil or makeup that can block the reading.

When to contact us

The strap has lost its stretch, the sensor window is cracked or shows water inside, the battery runs down much faster than before, or it won't turn on after a full charge.

Quick Answers

Frequently asked questions

Where's the power button?

There isn't one. The armband turns on automatically when you put it on and turns off by itself about 90 seconds after you take it off.

Where should I wear it?

On your forearm near the elbow or on your upper arm. For high-intensity workouts with lots of arm movement, the upper arm usually gives the steadiest reading.

Bluetooth or ANT+, which do I use?

Both run at the same time, so you don't have to choose. Most phone apps use Bluetooth; Garmin and Wahoo gear often prefer ANT+.

Why won't it connect to my watch?

Over Bluetooth it connects to one thing at a time, and your phone probably has it. Go to Settings → Bluetooth → Forget, then connect from your watch.

How long does the battery last?

About 70 hours of use per charge. It's rechargeable with the included magnetic cable.

Is it waterproof? Can I swim with it?

It's rated IP67, so it handles sweat, rain and a quick rinse. It's not made for continuous swimming. Make sure the charging port is dry before you charge it.

Why does it vibrate?

It vibrates when your heart rate goes above 160 bpm to let you know you're entering a higher heart rate zone.
