Why athletes pick it

Auto-wear detection switches the armband on the moment it touches your skin. No buttons, no pairing ritual, and it broadcasts to up to 3 devices at once over Bluetooth and ANT+.

An advanced optical sensor delivers consistent, precise heart rate workout after workout, from Zone 2 recovery to max-effort intervals, without random drift or spikes.

A soft-touch, medical-grade silicone strap sits flush on your forearm or bicep without bouncing, pinching or sliding. No chest-strap chafe, even on marathon sessions.
Compatibility
Standard ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart (BLE) heart rate profiles mean it pairs like any Polar, Garmin or Wahoo strap, with 400+ apps and devices. Here are the ones our customers use most.
Brand names belong to their owners; Powr Labs is not affiliated with them. Takes about two minutes to pair. Step-by-step pairing guides →

Reviews
Works great. Connected to my wahoo right away. Validated it’s accuracy on other devices, too.
Seems to track very well. Much more accurate than my watch!
Purchase for our teen that is a competitive athlete with thin arms. We have had a hard time finding heart rate bands that can adjust down small enough. This fits great, works well, and has been used daily for a few months now. The band washes well, is comfortable and has retained its shape and structure so far. Paired easily with a Garmin and Apple Watch and seems pretty accurate and doesn’t lose contact.
Very happy with this monitor! Aside from the product number being very small (harder to read), it was easy to connect to my gym's portal. Doesn't drop its signal, pretty accurate HR measurement. A good value for the price.
I have only used it twice but can say it is accurate and syncs easily with my peloton bike, and my phone up to this point. Comfortable to wear and no reading drops or jumps due to sensor confusion. Stays snug but does not require to be so tight that it is bothersome. Not a fan of the color but since I only use it to train that does not really matter. Charges fast and set up and app they have also work easy to track non equipment workouts as well. Syncs with Apple health as well so my data is stored in one place. I think for the cost it’s a good value and since my wahoo tickr was starting to give differing readings and would go from one rate and drop to another way below out of no where I needed a new one anyways. I’m pleased so far but we will see and if this turns out to only be beginners luck I’ll come back and address that as well.
Update: I still love this arm heart monitor but you must charge the battery every 2 weeks (used daily for 1 hour) even when it says it still has plenty (over 50%) or it will lose the bluetooth connection and will NOT reconnect! Once charged, it works great.
I had problems with the Heartool app as I am 70 years old and the zone heart rate values were WAY off. I could not get it to change. Then I tried while wearing the armband and I was easily able to change them to match my age. This arm band works great and connected to my iphone without any problems. I mainly use a recumbent bike and kettlebell/weights/resistance bands so I can easily monitor my heart rate through the app while I’m exercising. The app has all my heart rate info by date and total minutes then breaks it down by zones. It works great for me. I haven’t tried any other apps with it. If you are a senior and working out at home, you will love this app. Very reasonable price compared to several others I considered. I love it!
The Powr Labs Rechargeable Heart Rate Armband works well with my Peloton treadmill. I like that it automatically turns on when you put it on and turns off when you remove it. No buttons to push. However, some quick notes. First, if the armband does not link via bluetooth to your device, and you have your cell phone (in my case my iPhone) near you, you will need to remember to turn off bluetooth on your other device for the armband to link to your exercise equipment. Also, in order for the armband to stay active and not auto-turn off, it must be continually kept in contact with the skin on your arm. I found that if the armband moves so contact with my arm is lost, the armband will turn off during exercise. One final minor nit. Battery life seems to be limited. My previous heart rate monitor, a Wahoo, could last me 10-12 days on a single charge. The Powr Labs unit only seems to last 3-4 days. Overall, I have so far found the Powr Labs armband to be reliable and accurate during my workouts.
March 10, 2023To all I have revised my previous Amazon survey and review on my PowrLabs HRM. I am a happy customer. I have received overwhelming and very helpful technical support from the PowrLabs tech team. The most surprising aspect of this review process from previous unfavorable review was the very understanding and most accommodating support from the Founder and Owner of the company. I experienced the most gracious, top to bottom, technical support I ever received. My PowrLabs HRM is successfully paired and working as expected. It's the most cost-effective device of its kind. I am a happy customer.November 2022, I received my Powrlab Heart Rate Monitor (wrist, arms) version. I was able to easily setup the device and configure to my Peloton Exercise Bike. As of last week, it stopped working and a brief hiatus from my Peloton Bike exercises, I was no longer able to view the Powrlabs heart monitor rate displayed on my Peloton bike table nor my TV. Today, I called Peloton Tech Support, after many logistical and basic troubleshooting steps, there was No change. I would return the device, but I am just passed my return day “window” date January 31, 2023.I have updated my firmware a

Questions
Yes. It connects to the Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread and the Peloton app over Bluetooth. Because it is dual-band (Bluetooth + ANT+) it can broadcast to your Peloton and another device, like a watch or bike computer, at the same time.
There is no power button. Auto-wear detection switches the armband on when it touches your skin. Then open the sensor or device menu in your app, watch or bike computer and select Powr Labs. Pair once and it reconnects automatically. Step-by-step instructions are on our armband pairing page.
Up to 3. For example, your bike computer over ANT+ plus your phone app and smartwatch over Bluetooth, with no dropped connections.
It is rechargeable and a full charge covers 38+ hours of training, so most athletes charge it every few weeks. Charge it with the included magnetic charging cable. A spare charging dock is sold separately.
Either. The flex-fit strap works on the forearm or upper arm. Wear it snug enough that it does not slide, with the sensor flat against bare skin, for the most accurate readings.
It is IPX67 rated, so sweat, rain and rinsing under the tap are no problem. It is built for sweat and weather rather than swimming, since Bluetooth and ANT+ signals do not travel through water.
Yes. Slide the sensor module out, hand wash the strap with mild soap, and let it air dry. Replacement straps are available if you want one on the sensor and one drying.
Every Powr Labs product carries a 12-month no-questions-asked warranty and 30-day returns, backed by USA-based support in Park City, Utah.
